v0.5.6: now works with Among Us 2026.9.29 (64-bit)

v0.5.6 is out. It works with Among Us 2026.9.29 (64-bit).

If you use the old launcher (PocketRoles Launcher)

• Press "Check for updates" → "Yes". The 64-bit BepInEx comes with it.
• If it says the Steam version was updated, answer "Yes" (it rebuilds the copy). "PocketRoles v0.5.6" at the top left means it worked.
• From now on, the new launcher StarPocket Client is recommended (how to switch).

If you download the zip yourself

• Do not extract PocketRoles-0.5.6.zip. Put it as it is in the folder of the launcher (PocketRoles Launcher.cmd) and press "Install". If you extract it first, the 64-bit BepInEx is not installed.

If you use StarPocket Client

• Press "Check for updates", then press "Update" when the play button shows it. The 64-bit BepInEx comes with v0.5.6 (v1.1.1 too).
• In the new StarPocket Client v1.1.2, "Repair" also fixes it when the status line says "Needs a repair".

Plain Among Us

• Plain Among Us started from Steam works as always.

What is in the zip

• This zip contains BepInEx 6.0.0-be.735 (win-x64) and the .NET runtime.
• The 3 zips starting with Source- are the source code of BepInEx and other parts (attached as their licences require; you do not need them to play).

Known issues

• The room-restriction (Aegis) tray may still show the old "supported" version; you can still play (it goes away with StarPocket Client v1.1.2).
• In a local (LAN) lobby, the second game may not start. Restart the game to play again (online lobbies are not affected; it will be fixed in the next version).
